I’ve added another feature to Starfield 3D, a horizon effect that is visible if you point your iPad to the north. So now you can use it as a compass, too! That is, if Apple accepts this upcoming app submission.

Maybe you can load real astronomical star map data into it. Then it would be a tool for science!

Heh, I’ve actually thought about that. But real stars aren’t distributed in a nice even spread and flying through them would not be quite as consistent.
