This looks amazing! I can’t wait for the update to hit the app store. I’m so glad to have taken the plunge on version 1.0, it looks like you’re more than making good on the initial investment. I’ll make sure everyone I know who games and has an iphone or touch buys this app.

Awesome. Mach, your pretending to hit D5 instead of D6 to demo the back button was priceless. You are one funny dude.
Its obvious that you took great care and time improving your app. We all appreciate the hard work you put in. I can’t wait for the update to come across.
You didn’t show it, but I think it was in there. Can we now roll 2 d10 and get a d100 result? I know I can just use different colors and figure it out. Just curious if that was the purpose of those two d10 features in the setting menu?
Thanks again for the great app.

Mach – excellent work. You’ve put a lot of love and thought into your product and it is all the better for it. At the rate you’re going you’ll have the definitive dice app and no-one else will bother trying to compete.

who else comes close now!? Even though Mach said it might be a couple weeks, I am checking every couple hours… I wonder of there is someone at Apple we could be hassling to speed this update up…
Well done Mach!

Hi Mach,
I have an idea for you which will take this program even further out of reach from the rest. Is there any way to allow custom six sided dice? The user could create a file of jpgs or something which could be used by the program. An example of this would be for use in the game from Fantasy Flight Games “Descent”, “Runebound”, “Doom”, etc.. Or Z-man games’ Senji, etc.. The sides could just be referenced from the photos in the iPhone. Of course, selectable colors would be also a must.
thanks for the great work thus far! Your program is awesome!

“At the rate you’re going you’ll have the definitive dice app and no-one else will bother trying to compete.”
Actually it lacks one feature to even have a chance at that.
Out of the 64 dice apps I find in the appstore, only one of them supports rulesets like Shadowrun and Storyteller.
For example.
Roll Xd6, count the number of dice that roll a “1” and count the number of dice that roll 5 or above.
Roll Xd10, count the number of dice that roll a “1” and count the number of dice that roll 8 or above.
Only one app out of the 64 does that now, and they know it (since they are the most expensive dice app on the store).

Thanks for the comments! I have given some thought to custom dice, but as it is, the app is running out of memory so I’m going to have to figure out how to make that part a lot more efficient before adding custom images.
As for the counting, there is a “count” mode for the total button on the bottom which sort of does that. In the case of Xd10, it will tell you how many 10s, 9s, and 8s you’ve rolled. I’ve thought about actually adding something to explicitly state something like “8d10 > 7”, but I’m trying to keep the interface as elegant as possible so the “count” mode was a compromise.
